As we had promised on Cubadebate and as users had suggested, we displayed MW Urbanos at the 38th Havana International Fair.
Rafael Barrios Garriga, deputy head of development for Havana Provincial Transport Company (EPTH), told Cubadebate that, among other changes, the colours of the route maps have been changed to match the icons that indicate bus locations. "Green icons indicate the direction to go, and blue icons indicate the direction to return."
On the route screen, round-trip buses did not load immediately for consumers. The new version fixes this issue. According to the user's profile, they can load only those that follow their chosen path.
A new "Nearby" screen makes it easier for users to see how much time is left before the next departure.
One of the new features of the platform is a new location feature in the map drop-down menu (bottom right). Users can use this feature to find nearby bus stops, routes, and stops. If the phone's GPS is enabled and has the correct position values, this new option will work properly."
Also, the main menu now includes an option to update the "active" terminals. It is possible to activate new terminals before they are added using this option, without having to re-download the app.
Similarly, a new option called "Start with..." has been added to "Profile." Users can choose "Nearby," "Routes," or "Favourites," with Routes set as the default. Upon restarting the app, it will begin working again.
The app has generated a lot of discussion among users. The project was carried out by the GeoMIX agency of the Geocuba business group in collaboration with the Provincial Transport Company, the Provincial Transport Directorate of Havana, the Fleet Control Directorate, and the Ministry of Transport.

Upon opening the app, you will see a terminal, a route, and information about the next flights. You can change this later if you wish. It is loaded by default.
