Train rides to and from Tupper Lake have been halted until August 31, 2023 due to recent flooding and storm damage in Old Forge and Tupper Lake. As part of our efforts to repair the track, we are working closely with officials from the city and the state. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Rail connections between the High Peaks region, Central New York, and other places using rail connections in Utica are being maintained and restored by the Adirondack Railway Preservation Society (ARPS). By educating people about its history and environment, ARPS promotes the railway as a driver of economic growth.
By expanding rail and coordinated trail-based services, we aim to make getting to remote parts of the Adirondack Park easier for people of all ages and abilities.
