Volleyball Mod APK is a mobile volleyball game developed by DAERISOFT, a high school indie development team in Korea. It was first released in April 2021 and has since become a popular game among volleyball fans, with over 1 million downloads on the Google Play Store.

The game features a simple but engaging gameplay that is easy to learn but difficult to master. Players can create their own volleyball player and progress through the story mode, facing off against increasingly challenging opponents. The game also features a multiplayer mode where players can compete against each other online.

One of the things that makes Volleyball Mod APK so popular is its retro arcade-style graphics. The game is reminiscent of classic arcade volleyball games from the 1980s and 1990s, but with updated gameplay and features.

Another thing that makes the game so popular is its focus on storytelling. The story mode in Volleyball Mod APK is surprisingly well-written and engaging, following the journey of a young volleyball player as they try to achieve their dreams of becoming a professional volleyball player.

Overall, Volleyball Mod APK is a great mobile volleyball game that is sure to appeal to fans of all ages. It is easy to learn, difficult to master, and features a simple but engaging gameplay that is both fun and addictive.

Gameplay

The game begins with a serve. The server stands behind the end line and hits the ball over the net and into the opponent's court. The receiving team must then pass the ball to a teammate. The team then has three hits to return the ball over the net. The ball can be hit with any part of the body above the waist, but it cannot be caught or thrown.

The rally continues until one team makes a mistake, such as hitting the ball out of bounds, failing to return the ball over the net, or hitting the ball more than three times in a row. The team that makes the mistake loses the point and the other team gets to serve.

Court and Equipment

  • Volleyball is typically played on an indoor court, although there is also beach volleyball played on sand courts.
  • The court is 18 meters (59 feet) long and 9 meters (29.5 feet) wide for indoor volleyball. Beach volleyball courts are slightly smaller.
  • A net divides the court into two equal halves, and its height varies depending on the level of play but is usually around 2.43 meters (7 feet 11 5/8 inches) for men and 2.24 meters (7 feet 4 1/4 inches) for women.
  • Players wear uniforms and use a volleyball, which is a spherical ball with a circumference of around 65-67 centimeters (25.6-26.4 inches) and a weight of 260-280 grams (9.2-9.9 ounces).

Teams

  • Each team consists of six players, with specific positions and roles.
  • The positions include three front-row players and three back-row players, each with designated areas of the court they can occupy during play.
  • Players rotate positions clockwise after their team wins a point.

Scoring

  • Volleyball uses rally scoring, which means that a point is scored on every rally, regardless of which team served.
  • Matches are typically played in a best-of-five set format (some lower-level or recreational games might use a best-of-three set format).
  • To win a set, a team must score 25 points (or 21 points in some variations) with at least a two-point advantage. If the match goes to a fifth set, it is usually played to 15 points.

Basic Rules

  • Each team is allowed a maximum of three contacts to return the ball over the net (bump, set, spike).
  • The ball must not touch the ground on the team's side of the court during a rally.
  • Players are not allowed to catch, hold, or throw the ball.
  • A player cannot hit the ball twice in succession (except for blocking).
  • Players can block an opponent's attack at the net by jumping and attempting to deflect the ball back into the opponent's court.

Positions

Common positions include setter, outside hitter, middle blocker, opposite hitter, and libero.

The setter is responsible for setting up the ball for attackers, while the libero is a defensive specialist who wears a different-colored jersey and has specific substitution rules.
